Submitting a Film and Using Premiere Pro

hi guys, id really like to submit a film to this site for the very first time! i want to put the video file on a dvd-r (which is data dvd right?) and i dont have a quicktime version of the film i want to submit.

i keep trying to bring in the video file to premiere and save it as a quicktime file, but i always mess up the settings and it keeps screwing up on me (ie: files are way too big, messes up the frame size, etc)

anyway- what settings should i put premiere to to get a 16:9 short music video to export to quicktime properly?

ok i got most of it figured out-

except whenever i play back the video in my quicktime player, quicktime streaches my 16:9 video to fit the normal 4:3 ratio. anyone know whats going on w/ quicktime or my premiere settings here?
 
First off i would do what Chris prefers and dont send a DVD, send a minidv tape. Regarding the letterboxing/16:9 issue, i would imagine you started your project as a standard 4:3 project correct? How is your project formatted now to be "16:9"? Two options - one, submit it letterboxed in a 4:3 ratio. If you are dead set on it being 16:9 without the boxing, then export your vid and reimport it into a new 16:9 formatted project, center it accordingly, and export. You could just crop your final video but this would be an easier way of doing it. Then just export to tape and you are all set, mail it off.
 
okay - clear up - i grabbed a bunch of video from p2p programs for my film - and shaped them to fit the 16:9 editing window of premiere - then reshaped it to 4:3 as a "studentfilms version" - and put that on a data cd and sent it in - but thnx for the tips anyway - ill put it on mindv from now on
