Looking to get Avid express soon and want to just look into what is recommended to run this program.

I have an Acer Aspire - formatted from day one - added ram for a total of 2GB.

graphics card specs:

It's got a firewire port on the back and I'm looking to get a new graphics card for it since it never came with one but I can't complain with the price I got this PC for...

It currently runs Adobe Premiere pro CS3 v3 but it does lag a little when I start working fast.
I can't see it getting any faster with a program like Avid Express.

yea i'm running business vista but I actually don't have many complaints on it.
my old recording audio card doesn't have drivers for vista so I'm stuck with getting a new interface to replace it.
XP would be best I'm sure but for now vista is working fine with all my programs and most of my gear.
