Casting Notice for "To Have a Happy Day"
Moxie Tonic Productions is currently in pre-production on the short student film "To Have a Happy Day", a dramedy that intersects the lives of a despondent middle aged man and an angsty teenage boy to explore the motivation to live well.
Auditions will be held October 4th. If interested, please submit a copy of your headshot and resume tomoxietonicproductions@gmail.com. We will provide you with details on time and location as well as the material to be read for your audition. Callbacks will be on October 5th between 12:15-3:00 pm.
We are slated to begin filming in mid October/ early November (October 25-26 and November 1-2). Shooting will last between around two weekends, consecutively, depending on actors availability. We will be shooting primarily between two locations: the northern part of Chicago and a northwest suburb.
While there is no pay at this time, this is an excellent opportunity to meet and work with a talented group of Chicago's independent filmmakers. Of course, DVD copies of the film will be provided for your reel. This film will be submitted to film festivals upon completion.
