Hi everyone! I'm Orca Okinaka, a composer and arranger based in Japan.
I've always loved films, and my passion for film music is actually one of the main reasons I started composing in the first place. I began my career around 2006 arranging music for Japanese straight-to-video films, followed by arrangements for anime character songs in video games. My Super Mario arrangement was also featured on OCRemix (under the alias N4L4).
My music is borderless — ranging from electronic to cinematic, and everything in between. Some of it resists easy categorization altogether, which I think makes it well-suited for film.
I'm now looking to collaborate with filmmakers on short films and other projects. If you're looking for a composer, feel free to reach out!
Some of my favorite films include The Thing, Edward Scissorhands, The Lion King, Dancer in the Dark, and Arrival — quite a range, I know!
