Lost in Translation was overrated, but good, nonetheless.
All three LOTR installments were overrated, and, I believe, they got consistently worse in their order. Return of the King (at least the version I saw in theater) was one of the most contrived, poorly-edited, poorly-written movies I've ever seen.
I liked Million Dollar Baby (though, admittedly, Morgan Freeman's scenes made me laugh). I thought Mystic River had potential, but a lot of badly-scripted moments (such as any time The Bacon appears, or Laura Linney's Lady MacBeth sermon) nearly sunk it.
House of Flying Daggers was a thorough disappointment.
The original Batman is overrated. That film sucks something awful.
Blade Runner, however, rules to an absurd degree. So does Raising Arizona. Those movies rule so hard.
