Who likes short shorts? Crest likes short shorts! Crest Hardware is proud to announce the first ever Quickie Crest Film Fest, a celebration of local film talent in the “Short Short” film medium.
Submission Guidelines:
• At least one key member of the film team (Producer, Director, Writer, etc.) must live in the New York City area.
• Only online submissions will be accepted - no DVD submissions, please.
• Run time for submissions should be between 1-7 minutes in length
• ALL FILMS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY SUNDAY, AUGUST 4TH.
On Thursday, August 14th at 7:30 PM, Crest will open its backyard to the public for a night of movies under the stars, showcasing a series of 1 to 7 minute short shorts from NYC-based moviemakers. Each film shifts from genre to genre, keeping with the festival-established theme of “community” - be it personal community, local community, or universal community for the truly ambitious.

About Crest Hardware
Founded in 1962, Williamsburg's own Crest Hardware has long been a staple of arts and community outreach in Brooklyn and beyond. Their creative division, Crest Arts, yearly brings the borough such events as the Crest Arts Pumpkin Carving Contest and the internationally-attended Crest Fest, a day long music festival and summer-long art show displaying works from around the world connected by the theme of hardware. The “Quickie Crest Film Fest” is the store's first foray into the film medium.
