Douchey title and I apologise.

Nice to meet you all. Brand new to the site but I just graduated from high school and am trying to expand my filmmaking knowhow. I've been making little videos since 2008 when I was in Year 7 but it was only a couple years ago when I started making actual "films" (which technically aren't on film...oh well.) I've made four proper films with stories and three of them I'm actually proud of!

I just uploaded a new film about a young couple in 1928. It's not without flaws but I was experimenting with a few things, trying to create three separate areas of focus in a three minute timeframe. The husband's actions, the wife's actions and their dialogue. I was also going for frantic realism and subtle absurdism though that doesn't make a lick of sense...oh well. It's a fun little film and I'm proud of it, despite its flaws. We are always learning, and me being 17, I need to learn a lot more.

Barton and Mae - A Standard 1920s Couple

I've also made a couple of other comedies. One is an absurdist comedy, mocking melodrama and comedy tropes: The Blunder, which I spent most of the year on for an English major work. The other is a mockumentary about a man stuck speaking sarcastically permanently: Lowest Form of Tragedy, which I made in a week for fun and friends.

I hope you guys take a look and share your opinions. I'm open to criticism but I'm aware of all the flaws of these films. However, I do believe I need some help with lighting. If anyone could refer me to some helpful lighting guides and offer some tips, I'd love to hear it. Thanks a lot guys! Have a lovely day!
