The state of the forums

Hello everyone,

I was away this weekend and the forums seem to have degenerated into a little of a mess.

I apologize for how the site's moderators have handled the situation. I have spoken to them and hopefully it will not get out of hand in the future.

Bigmovie's topics should not have been deleted. I hope that he decides to return to the forums.

The forums are a place for young filmmakers to come together to have discussions on anything whether it is film (or in the case of this weekend - political banter). Of course we need to stay polite and engage in "friendly discussions". Flaming has no place here.

One shouldn't feel censored or that the board's moderators are "the SS". This is not the sense of community that I am trying to promote here.

Once again I apologize for the mess. I understand that everyone is politically charged these days.

Please refrain from flaming. (this goes for the mods as well)

Let's get this community back to where it should be.

I also want to apologize for some of the unwarranted comments that I made, specifically the "put up or shut up" and the "crybaby" comments (both of which have been removed from context as they have no place on the forums). I was quite angry with some comments directed toward the moderators and I lost control. It will not happen again.

I also feel the need to apologize. Things just got a little crazy and sometimes its hard to get it back under control and unfortunately the situation wasn't handled as well as it should have been. So, I hope you can forgive me.

We're all friends here. Let's just forget about it and move on. The one good thing that has come out of this is that we can learn from our mistakes.

so im going to turn this into more of a soap opera when I post this. Particleman was dead, but wait, HE's BACK! and he's your evil twin brother (cue organ music). After talking with the Admin on the boards I'm gonna stick around, whether you'll have me back or not remains to be seen. I apologize for coming off so defensively, and will work for a better and more peaceful tomorrow.
